Boondock Saints

I’ve always been a fan of St. Patrick’s Day, for no particular reason.  It’s fun to pointlessly dress in green and eat every green food you can think of, or put green food coloring in other food so it turns a particularly disgusting shade of poop green and eat that.  But for the past few years I am mostly excited for St. Patty’s Day because I know that I will get to watch Boondock Saints.  I realize that I can watch it any other day of the year, but it just seems appropriate on March 17th.  So here is the best part of the movie for your reading pleasure:

“Now you will receive us. We do not ask for your poor or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath, we shall hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood til it rains down from the skies. Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal, these are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions. These are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. There are varying degrees of evil, we urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over into true corruption, into our domain. But if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three and on that day you will reap it. And we will send you to which ever god you wish. And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. We shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti”

And here is some fan art I found of the MacManus brothers for your viewing pleasure:

Trooper Hat

I bought this black trooper hat on amazon and now I want to wear it everyday…do you think people will think I’m ridiculous? Or just really cold?

Christmas at the Yuma House

This is what I stay up late at night to do…and then complain about all the time I don’t have to do the important stuff I need to get done.

I like my roommates.

White Trash is Sometimes Sexy

So, Jil and I have had an ongoing discussion about who’s white trash crush is more credible.  It’s ridiculous, we know.  I think Kid Rock is disgusting, she thinks he’s more attractive than Leland Chapman; I disagree.  You probably know who Kid Rock is, unless you live under a rock, but you may not be so familiar with Leland unless you are a TV slut like me.  Leland Chapman is one of Dog the Bounty Hunter’s sons.  So, I’ll give you a few pics of each and would like to know who’s white trash crush you guys agree with more.  Enjoy this eye candy!

Ok, so first of all, polaroids are the greatest.  Why would they ever stop making Polaroid film?  It doesn’t make sense to me.  Second, I found a program that makes digital pictures look like they are taken with a polaroid camera…it’s the bomb diggity. Check it out:

This is my friend Ali’s son Graham.  He is the cutest.

This is my sister Jillian on a rainy day in Spring City with her beautiful umbrella Isabella.

This is Natalie on the same rainy day in Spring City.

And this is me, doing SMYMFW with Kaeleigh.

I can’t stop using this program.  It’s the greatest.

5 Gifts

This is an exact copy of Sarah’s post on her blog.  I liked the idea.  Stolen.

This is a sort of gift exchange-type concept. I’ve posted my gift offer here, and I hope I can make something for you. Just leave a comment below with a valid email address so that I can get your mailing address, if necessary. I hope I can make something you’ll enjoy!

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations so please read carefully:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make, but I promise to make something that I would like!

2. What I create will be just for you, hand crafted with love.

3. It’ll be done this year (2009). Beyond that, you won’t know in advance when it’s coming.

4. I will not give you any clue what it’s going to be, unless I can’t resist teaser photos or hints on the blog. It will be something that you can hold, not an online gift. It may be weird or beautiful. Or both. Or neither. It might be baked goods. It might be a mix CD or an art project or something made with yarn. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange, if inspired to do so.

6. In return, all you need to do is offer up a note of your own and make something for the first 5 to respond to your note.

7. If I don’t have your mailing address, I’ll send you an email. Just leave a comment below. I can’t wait to surprise you!

(I don’t think 5 people know about this blog yet…hmmm…)

Tokyo Book

This is the latest book I’ve been working on.  The assignment was to use text only.  I didn’t like this idea, so I tried to make pictures out of text kinda.  Enjoy!
